Historic Mill. Modern Office
This former textile mill in North Carolina was being renewed for contemporary office use. Its industrial brickwork and eyebrow-shaped openings would remain part of the building.
The new windows needed to sit naturally within the old facade while serving the building's new office use.
Keep the Original Look
The new windows had to keep the original arch, proportions, and grid pattern.
Improve Sealing and Comfort
The original hung-window design could not meet the new sealing and winter comfort requirements.
Add a title or tagline
The opening was not a standard arch, so a standard frame would not match.
Fixed Above. Tilt-Turn Below
We combined a fixed upper section with a tilt-turn lower sash to keep the original look while improving ventilation, operation, and sealing.

The original eyebrow shape, window proportions, and grid pattern are retained.
· Better Sealing
The new configuration is designed for tighter sealing and better winter comfort.
· Easy Operation
The lower sash tilts for ventilation and swings inward for a full opening.
